Dracula 3000

In the year 3000, the deep space salvage ship *Mother III* discovers the long-lost starship *Demeter* in the Carpathian System. Captain Abraham Van Helsing and his crew—comprising the blonde assistant Aurora Ash, the crippled navigator Arthur "The Professor" Holmwood, who considers himself a genius, the strong but dim-witted Humvee, the intern Mina Murry, and the drug-addicted 187—decide to claim the vessel. As they explore the *Demeter*, they discover a fifty-year-old video log in which Captain Varna explains that he had been locked in his cabin after his crew began acting strangely following the retrieval of a cargo of coffins from the Transylvania station. When 187 investigates the coffins in search of hidden drugs, he cuts his hand, and his blood awakens Count Orlock, also known as Count Dracula. After Aurora identifies Dracula, the survivors attempt to find a way to destroy the vampire.
