Duell in der Nacht
Synopsis
Inspector Jonas Birke, a committed officer newly assigned to the Frankfurt homicide division, has only one night to act. The following day, his superior, Lehm, plans to announce to the press the identity of the person responsible for the murder of former police officer Rainer Mettich, who was killed in a hotel room. Birke has been tasked with confirming the guilt of the convicted criminal Wolfram Ernst within that limited timeframe. However, Birke harbors doubts: Mettich was on the verge of providing testimony about police corruption, a revelation that would have jeopardized the careers of numerous high-ranking figures in both law enforcement and business. The prominent businessman Ludwig Wellingsen and his attractive wife, Isabel, also appear to be connected to the case.
