Synopsis
This film is based on the true story of Edward Gein, a farmer whose crimes inspired such films as *Psycho*, *The Texas Chainsaw Massacre*, and *The Silence of the Lambs*. It is the first film to explore Gein's troubled upbringing, his deeply devoted but controlling mother, and the 1957 arrest that revealed one of the most bizarre murder cases in American history.
