Synopsis

Set in 1828 Bremen, Germany, the narrative follows two women whose lives intersect in an era that offers them little opportunity. One woman seeks to pursue a legal career despite the exclusion of women from universities at the time. The other has lived outside the law and now faces potential consequences for her actions. Each must confront personal challenges: one strives to regain mental stability, while the other is determined to preserve hers. The story is based on true events.
