Ein Sommer in Marrakesch
Synopsis
Rudi Schlosser and his ex-wife Anna travel to Marrakech, Morocco, for their daughter Tina's wedding. There, they discover that the groom is not the German engineer Anna had been familiar with, but Karim Mernissi, the local project leader. Orphaned as a child, Karim was raised by his uncle, Rafiq Mernissi, a literature professor who insists on a traditional Berber wedding to honor the family's heritage, despite the bride being a European non-Muslim. Anna initially resists the tradition but gradually warms to Rafiq, reconciling with Rudi in the process. However, she also uncovers a Mernissi family secret that even shocks Karim.
