Synopsis

Dragić began his career as an animator after applying for a competition organized by Zagreb Film, leveraging his background as a cartoonist and caricaturist. His animated works remain closely tied to his comic strips, both stylistically and narratively, with some directly adapted from them. His debut film, *Elegy*, for instance, is based on his comic *Nostalgia*, as he discusses in an interview with Bosnian-Swedish theorist and animator Midhat Ajanović included in the book *Nedeljko Dragić: The Man and the Line* (2014). *Elegy* tells the story of a prisoner who longs for a flower he glimpses through the bars of his cell. The film's static animation style reflects his origins in comics.

How many hands made this film

The scale of the collaboration

Principal cast & crew: 1

These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.

Why a floor?

This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
