Eric Clapton: Sessions for Robert J
Synopsis
*Sessions for Robert J* is an audio and video companion to Eric Clapton's 2004 gold-certified, Top 10 album *Me and Mr. Johnson*, a tribute to blues musician Robert Johnson. Filmed during rehearsals for the tour in London and Dallas, as well as in a Los Angeles hotel room and a Dallas warehouse where Johnson recorded some of his last songs, the project features Clapton performing all Robert Johnson songs with his touring band, acoustically with Doyle Bramhall II, and in solo settings. It also includes Clapton discussing Johnson and his influence. The performance/documentary DVD contains 14 tracks, from which the 11 selections on the accompanying CD are taken.
