Synopsis
A series of murders involving several young girls occurs in a rural area, prompting Inspector Matthaei to travel to the region and investigate. As the local population suspects a wandering outsider to be responsible, he is lynched, with many believing the killings will now cease. Matthaei, however, remains convinced otherwise and begins searching for a blond girl who resembles the victims. He locates one and begins staying with her and her mother, using the girl as bait in an attempt to lure the murderer out.
