Synopsis
In a world under continuous assault by monstrous beings known as Angels, which aim to destroy humanity, the United Nations' Special Agency NERV recruits two new EVA pilots to protect the city of Tokyo-3: the enigmatic Makinami Mari Illustrous and the passionate Asuka Langley Shikinami. At the same time, Gendo Ikari and the organization SEELE advance a covert project involving Rei and Shinji.
