Synopsis
Ned is experiencing a mid-life crisis, and his job as a writer on a provocative, semi-pornographic television show fails to bring him satisfaction. His fifteen-year-old son has recently come out to him as gay, while his eleven-year-old son is afraid of nearly everything. The arrival of his wife, Jeannie, bringing her ill and resentful father from Detroit to live with them in New York adds further tension to their already troubled marriage. Matters grow more complicated when a flirtatious female co-worker makes advances toward Ned, leading him into a spiral of temptation.
