Experiment in Evil
Synopsis
Dr. Cordelier, who resides in a suburb of Paris, isolates himself from society to conduct research on the human brain. His lifelong friend, Maître Joly, grows worried when Cordelier drafts a will that leaves his entire estate to a stranger named Monsieur Opale; Joly is puzzled by Cordelier's defense of Opale, especially since Opale is known to assault women and children. After one of Cordelier's colleagues is murdered, Joly confronts him and uncovers the reason behind his friend's unusual behavior.
