A guilt‑ridden surgeon kidnaps women to harvest their faces in a desperate bid to restore his disfigured daughter, risking detection and his own moral ruin.

Synopsis
Dr. Génessier is consumed by guilt following an accident he caused, which left his daughter Christiane disfigured; she was once considered beautiful and is believed to be dead by outsiders. With the help of his accomplice and laboratory assistant, Louise, Dr. Génessier abducts young women and brings them to his mansion. He then renders the women unconscious and removes their faces, attempting to graft them onto Christiane's.
