Synopsis
The sea, both tranquil and violent, serves as the ultimate symbol in Jerry Abrams' *EYETOON* and is equated with the act of making love, a central theme of the short and visually striking film. Abrams juxtaposes the hurried faces of New York City and the relentless motion of a highway with the serene union of bodies in a sequence reminiscent of Gjon Mili's stroboscopic photography. Throughout, an underlying and emotionally charged maelstrom, rendered through visual techniques like double exposure, interacts with the imagery of the human form.
