Feet of Flames
Synopsis
*Feet of Flames* was created in 1998 by dancer Michael Flatley, who had gained fame through the musical *Riverdance*. Originally conceived for Flatley's final performance as "The Lord of the Dance," the show premiered as a one-time event in London's Hyde Park on July 25, 1998, with an audience of approximately 25,000 people. The production closely mirrors its predecessor, *Lord of the Dance*, but expands on it by doubling the number of dancers, introducing new choreography, and featuring a new stage with multi-level tiers. One of the new numbers is Flatley's solo — "Feet of Flames," after which the show is named. The performance introduced several elements that would later become staples of Flatley's productions, including his signature silver-heeled shoes, made by Freed's of London, which debuted in this show. Additionally, TV screens installed on both sides of the stage were first used here and have since been incorporated into all of Flatley's subsequent performances.

How many hands made this film
The scale of the collaboration
Principal cast & crew: 12
These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.
Why a floor?
This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
