Fighting the Odds: The Marilyn Gambrell Story
Synopsis
Based on a true story, former parole officer Marilyn Gambrell, along with a colleague, launches a pioneering trial-based program at one of America's toughest high schools. The initiative aims to help children of incarcerated parents take control of their lives and avoid following in their parents' footsteps. To everyone's surprise, the program proves successful. However, the school administration warns Gambrell that the program's future depends on all senior students passing their final exams and graduating with their class. As the school year nears its end, Gambrell faces a crisis that forces her to fight for everything she believes in or risk losing it all.
