Synopsis
The film is inspired by the true story of Greg Yance. In the story, Yance (played by Epps) is a young man from the inner city who is incarcerated for drug possession. He is offered a choice between a five-year prison sentence or a few months at a military-style boot camp, and he opts for the latter. He soon discovers that the boot camp is more challenging than he anticipated. He endures the experience and returns home transformed. He then faces the difficulties of reentering society, but refuses to give up, regardless of the obstacles he encounters.
