Synopsis
The original subject intended for this film was a spiritual medium known for her extraordinary accuracy. Tsai Ming-liang rode his 50cc motorbike, equipped with a DV camera, to film her and see if the god would speak through the camera. However, en route, he encountered a traffic jam caused by a crowd gathered for another god’s festival. The scene featured a man in a trance, flashy karaoke girls performing on stage, and a power blackout. During this unexpected detour, the camera captured images of fish and underground passages.
