Synopsis
Erica Vandross is a 17-year-old with a rebellious and quick-witted personality, living in L.A.'s San Fernando Valley with her single mother, Laurie, and Laurie's new boyfriend, Bob. When Bob's emotionally troubled son, Luke, returns from rehab to live with the family, Erica's home life and personal stability begin to unravel. Alongside Luke and her friends Kala and Claudine, Erica takes increasingly defiant actions, culminating in her exposing a dark secret held by one of her high school teachers.
