For Richer or Poorer
A wealthy New York couple on the run from an embezzlement scandal find unexpected refuge—and a second chance at love—when they hide out in an Amish community and pretend to be part of the simple, quiet life.
Synopsis
Brad Sexton and his wife, Caroline, are affluent New Yorkers dealing with both marital and financial difficulties. Their financial troubles intensify when they learn that their accountant has embezzled millions and framed them for the theft. To avoid detection, Brad and Caroline go into hiding and end up in an Amish community in Pennsylvania, where they decide to impersonate members of the religious group to evade the IRS. As they adjust to the Amish way of life, the couple begins to rekindle their relationship.

How many hands made this film
The scale of the collaboration
Principal cast & crew: 22
These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.
Why a floor?
This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.

📉 Underperformed — grossed 0.9× its budget
Why 2.5×?
Cinemas keep roughly half of every ticket sold, and a wide release’s marketing often costs about as much again as the film — so a movie needs to gross around 2.5× its production budget just to break even theatrically. It’s a rule of thumb, not the studio’s ledger (home video and streaming come later).

Every stage matters — pitch decks and treatments from development, location scouts and table-reads from pre-production, set photos and crew anecdotes from production, edit-bay notes from post, and press kits, festival memories, or marketing ephemera from distribution. Any moment that didn't make the press tour, any document or photograph that's been sitting in a box — please share it so it's not lost to time.
We particularly welcome contributions from writers, producers, cast, crew, festival programmers, distributors, marketing teams, their families, and anyone who was there at any stage.
