Forgiven

Liz, a suburban housewife, uncovers the disturbing truth that her husband, Stephen, has been abusing their daughter. She confronts him and reports the abuse to the authorities, while also choosing to support him, believing his actions may stem from "a sickness." Stephen is tried and subsequently imprisoned. After his release, Liz arranges for him to receive treatment at a residential clinic specializing in sex offenders, where he undergoes intensive therapy. Through this process, Stephen begins to confront his guilt and the consequences of his abuse. The film explores the family's decision to rebuild their lives together, raising questions about whether this is the right course, if it is even possible, and what emotional toll such a path might entail.
