Synopsis
The documentary explores the significant assertion that many, if not all, degenerative diseases affecting humans can be managed or even reversed by moving away from the current diet of animal-based and processed foods. It tests the concept of food as medicine by following individuals with chronic conditions such as heart disease and diabetes. These "reality patients" are guided by doctors in adopting a whole-foods, plant-based diet as a primary treatment method, with the film capturing the challenges and successes they experience along the way.
