Synopsis
The film portrays the heroic defense of the Brest Fortress, which was attacked during the initial strike of German forces on June 22, 1941. It details the events of the first days of the defense, including the three main resistance zones led by regiment commander Pyotr Mikhailovich Gavrilov, commissar Efim Moiseevich Fomin, and the head of the 9th frontier outpost, Andrey Mitrofanovich Kizhevatov. Many years later, veteran Alexander Akimov recalls the memories of that time, when he was a 15-year-old boy named Sasha Akimov, deeply in love with the beautiful Anya, and suddenly found himself caught in the midst of the bloody events of war.
