Galaxy Investigation 2100: Border Planet
Synopsis
Tezuka Osamu creates a love story set in the late 21st century, a time when humans are expanding into space. The narrative takes an omnibus form similar to Ray Bradbury's *The Martian Chronicles*. After getting married, a woman leaves Earth, only to be left behind in space when her husband suddenly dies from a cosmic disease. Her friends on Earth decide to travel to space to rescue the woman who was once considered everyone's ideal lady. Through this story, Tezuka Osamu emphasizes his belief that "love can save the Earth" and "only love can save humans."
