Gesicht der Erinnerung

At sixteen, Christina falls deeply in love with Jakob, a man thirty-nine years old. His death in an accident leaves a lasting void in her life. Twenty years later, during a thunderstorm, Patrick rescues her. From the start, he reminds her of Jakob, both in his warm, confident demeanor and in his mannerisms. The two develop a romantic relationship, and Christina grows happy with Patrick, perceiving in him an ever-growing resemblance to the Jakob she believes she has rediscovered. However, as the two men begin to blur in Christina's mind, Patrick becomes increasingly unsettled. When he starts to recognize more than mere coincidence in their meeting, Christina vanishes.
