Getting Stronger Every Day
Synopsis
There are two films I watched on television depicting boys who were removed from their families and later returned years later. In one, the boy spent years aboard a fun spaceship, while in the other, the boy was kidnapped and molested. Both boys were profoundly changed and struggled to reintegrate into their families. I saw these films when I was young and have often described them together. They represent a comedic and tragic variation of the same narrative, presenting a mundanely spiritual theme. *Getting Stronger Every Day* incorporates these boys' stories, but they appear as mystical objects within the lived reality of the male storyteller. In other parts of the film, actual mystical objects exist in people's lives without being tied to a myth or narrative. I enjoy considering how these dimensions interact in simple ways and can be enacted: real life / story / worldly / spirit / video / flat drawing.

How many hands made this film
The scale of the collaboration
Principal cast & crew: 5
These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.
Why a floor?
This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
