Gewoon Hans
Synopsis
Katinka, a seventeen-year-old girl, lives in a small house with her family, where her father is a devoted fan of the Dutch comedian Hans Teeuwen. The home is filled with Teeuwen's presence: his shows play on the TV throughout the day, posters of him are displayed everywhere, and his CDs and DVDs are scattered around the house. This overwhelming exposure to Teeuwen causes Katinka to experience fears and delusions. She begins having nightmares in which Hans Teeuwen appears to her, and she frequently hears his voice and believes she sees him. Katinka confides in her psychiatrist about a recurring nightmare in which Hans Teeuwen rapes her teddy bear while calling out her name. The psychiatrist suggests that meeting Teeuwen in person might help Katinka adjust the distorted image she has developed.
