Synopsis
In 2015, Woody Allen directed a production of the Puccini comic opera *Gianni Schicchi* for the LA Opera. The staging was part of a double-bill performance with Puccini's *Suor Angelica*, presented as part of the company's season. Allen, known primarily as a filmmaker, brought his distinctive directorial style to the opera, marking a rare foray into the world of opera production. The production was well-received for its creative interpretation and humor, staying true to the spirit of the original work.
