Goliath
Synopsis
Golia is a former rugby champion who now suffers from dementia. Each day, he wakes believing he is still young and traveling with his team, only to discover he is in a nursing home and has lost contact with his wife and children. Alessandro, another resident of the nursing home, is a former professor of ancient literature who is paralyzed from the waist down. Alessandro has one final ambition: to help Golia escape the nursing home and be reunited with his family, overcoming the resistance of the institution’s unkind staff and demonstrating that senility and illness should not be used as justification for deeming a person socially worthless.
