Grave Decisions
Synopsis
Set in a small town in Bavaria, this black comedy follows 11-year-old Sebastian, who believes he is a murderer and that he killed his mother on the day he was born. Convinced he is already condemned to purgatory, he decides to perform good deeds in an effort to reduce his sentence. To this end, Sebastian sets out to find a wife for his father, Lorenz. When Lorenz and Sebastian's schoolteacher, Veronika, fall deeply in love, it seems as though fate may be on their side. However, a complication arises: Veronika is already married.
