Hackers: Outlaws and Angels

This program explores the ongoing struggle between cyber outlaws and those who work to counter them by defending systems from attacks, training IT professionals and law enforcement, and monitoring cyberspace for signs of emerging threats. Through interviews with personnel from the Department of Defense, the NYPD's computer crime unit, the private detective firm Kroll Associates, the X-Force Threat Analysis Service, and several well-known crackers, the program offers in-depth looks at the millions of hacking incidents that occur each year in the United States—including one that impacted the phone bills of millions and another that exposed confidential information about the B-1 stealth bomber to teenagers.
