Synopsis

*Handcuffs* is a short film based on the director’s real-life experience of witnessing a couple engaging in a public sex game. It premiered in 2009 at the Circuito Off Festival in Venice, Italy. The film explores themes of BDSM, role-play, seduction, and public sex, set in Barcelona. Filmed at the darkly stylish Coppelia cocktail bar, the camera follows a kinky couple, played by Natalia Paris and Paco Roca, whose exhibitionist behavior is observed by an unseen voyeur. The film received the Best Experimental Short Film award at the CineKink Festival in New York in 2010 and the Sexiest Short Film award at the Feminist Porn Awards in Toronto in the same year.

How many hands made this film

The scale of the collaboration

Principal cast & crew: 7

These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.

Why a floor?

This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
