Happy Birthday, Marsha!
Synopsis
Set on a sweltering summer day in June 1969, the story follows Marsha as she throws herself a birthday party and dreams of performing at a local club, though no one attends. Sylvia, Marsha's best friend, is upset after failing to introduce her lover to her family and becomes so high that she forgets about the party. Eventually, Marsha, Sylvia, and their friends gather at the Stonewall Inn to celebrate Marsha's birthday. When the police arrive to conduct a raid on the bar, Marsha and Sylvia are among the first to resist.
