In this thriller story, devout detective Angelo Matteo and his partner Rufus engage in a raid, uncovering a gruesome scene of a serial killer's victims. Meanwhile, a disturbed individual named Ed Erdella picks up young men at bus stops and subjects them to horrifying torture. Angelo's pursuit of justice intensifies as he battles personal demons, seeks therapy, and uncovers a larger conspiracy involving missing persons.
