Synopsis
Heart of Hunger is a film that explores the body in a state of exposure and concealment, evoking imagery reminiscent of baroque paintings. The characters experience feelings of guilt, shame, and alienation in relation to the viewer's gaze. The film presents a secret that separates the actors and their world from the audience observing them. Its narrative is episodic, centered around themes that remain unspoken. Two friends travel together, engaging in lustful and sadistic games. The characters are capable of acting, feeling, and experimenting, yet they are unable to fully articulate the relationships that shape them. They drift apart and come back together, embodying the solitude of a heart in search.
