Synopsis
A BBC documentary crew arrives in Los Angeles with the goal of interviewing Heidi Fleiss, a year after her arrest for operating a brothel but before her trial begins. Several months pass before the interview can take place, so the crew seeks out others who might speak about Fleiss. Two individuals provide extensive commentary: Alex, a retired madam for whom Fleiss once worked, and Ivan Nagy, Fleiss's former boyfriend and the person who introduced her to Alex. Alex and Nagy have a strained relationship, leading the crew to alternate between them, presenting their conflicting accounts. When the crew finally interviews Fleiss, they focus on recounting what Alex and Nagy have said and eliciting her response.
