Henry Rollins: Shock & Awe
Synopsis
Henry Rollins delivers a performance from his recent Shock & Awe Tour, the title of which is irreverently inspired by George Bush's early predictions regarding the impact of the Iraqi War. Drawing on the same ferocious energy he displayed as the front man for the punk group Black Flag, Rollins offers scathing observations based on his recent USO tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. He also critiques the American political and cultural landscape and explores more personal topics, discussing his eclectic career spanning music, books, and television and film. He shares insights gained from his extensive travels and recounts his amusingly unsuccessful search for love. The performance was filmed at the Paramount Theater in Seattle during his spoken word tour.
