Ezequiel is a capoeira martial arts master who is passionate about teaching. When his boss's son takes over as the new head of the school, Ezequiel resigns in frustration. Struggling to find work, he faces significant challenges due to his status as a dark-skinned immigrant without formal education. Out of necessity, he begins working at night for small business owner Reynaldo and his colleague Jason, cleaning antique public urinals. Ezequiel is deeply ashamed of his new job and keeps it a secret from his wife, Marta, and his son, Stevie. He hopes that Stevie will receive a proper academic education, which he believes will open many doors in the future. However, Stevie reveals to his father that he would rather become a hairdresser than pursue academic studies.
