Synopsis

Little Bobo the Elephant decides to leave the jungle, where he is tasked with the thankless job of moving logs with his trunk, in pursuit of a more glamorous life in a circus in America. On the advice of a minah bird, Bobo paints himself pink to gain access to a ship heading to the United States, as no one on board will admit to seeing a pink elephant, let alone take action against what is assumed to be a hallucination. Upon arriving in America, a street-cleaner washes away Bobo's pink color, and people are now willing to acknowledge his presence. Bobo is arrested by the police and chained for trial before a judge, who sentences him to life in a circus. There, he becomes the bat "boy" for the big top baseball team, and laments that he is once again carrying logs—in this case, baseball bats.

How many hands made this film

The scale of the collaboration

Principal cast & crew: 5

These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.

Why a floor?

This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
