Synopsis
This short film documents the preparations for the world premiere of an "important" movie in Hollywood. The film being celebrated is *Marie Antoinette* (1938), which premiered at the Carthay Circle Theatre. The street leading to the theater is transformed to resemble a French palace garden, featuring trees, foliage, and large statues along the route. Grandstands are arranged to allow fans a view of arriving celebrities. As the event begins, a "galaxy of stars" arrives by limousine. Fanny Brice and Pete Smith deliver remarks at a microphone set up on the red carpet outside the theater.
