Synopsis
Deeply rooted religious beliefs, seemingly tracing back to the Puritanism of the Pilgrim Fathers, play a significant role in shaping American society, even as the public is constantly exposed to violence through entertainment. If it is accurate that American films reflect the values of American society, then the country faces another notable issue: the absence of open expressions of sexuality and eroticism in its cinematic output.
