Synopsis
In January 1990, following his removal from power and the fall of the Berlin Wall, GDR dictator Erich Honecker and his wife Margot found themselves without a home. Protestant pastor Uwe Holmer and his family offered them shelter, despite having, like many others, endured the hardships of Honecker's authoritarian rule.
