Honey
Synopsis
Set in the remote and undeveloped eastern Black Sea region, the film follows six-year-old Yusuf as he wanders through the woods searching for his missing father, trying to understand the world around him. His father is a beekeeper whose bees have vanished unexpectedly, putting his livelihood at risk. The father dies in a strange accident. The film features minimal dialogue and no music; the three main characters—Yusuf and his parents—are largely silent, with the soundtrack composed primarily of forest sounds and the noises of its inhabitants. The natural environment remains a central theme throughout.
