Synopsis

Birdee Pruitt is humiliated on live television by her best friend, Connie, who has been having an affair with Birdee's husband, Bill. Seeking to rebuild her life, Birdee moves back to her small hometown in Texas with her daughter, Bernice, but finds herself confronted by old acquaintances who take pleasure in her misfortune—except for her friend Justin. As Justin helps Birdee regain her footing, a romantic relationship begins to develop between them.
