Synopsis
When injustice strikes, it can turn a victim into a criminal. Kool is an artist with no real future, a black belt in karate, and in love with LaShawna, a promising young woman set to attend college. One night, LaShawna witnesses a stabbing and finds that the victim is a police officer who dies in her arms. She is arrested for murder by the notorious Ramparts Division of the LAPD. Determined to prove her innocence, Kool seeks help from Tully, a jaded detective who, while ignoring LaShawna's case, uses Kool to dismantle a developing criminal operation. LaShawna is in danger because the real perpetrators fear the officer may have revealed something before dying. While in jail awaiting a hearing and legal assistance, she is brutally beaten to death by a rogue police officer. Fueled by vengeance, Kool forms the Hot Boyz.
