Synopsis
The narrative follows two activist coalitions—ACT UP and the Treatment Action Group (TAG)—whose efforts transformed AIDS from a fatal disease into a manageable condition. Although lacking formal scientific training, these self‑taught activists entered the pharmaceutical sector and assisted in pinpointing promising new drugs, accelerating their progression from experimental trials to patient use at an unprecedented pace.
