Howard Stern's Butt Bongo Fiesta
Synopsis
Released in 1992, *Butt Bongo Fiesta* followed the conclusion of the WWOR television show. At the time, Howard was heavily involved in "butt-bongoing," and the title skit on the video is a parody of Hispanic dance shows, hosted by "Howard Estern." The video also includes Jessica Hahn in the 3-D skit "Jungle Man," "Guess Who's the Jew" featuring Kurt Waldheim, Jr. and KKK-guy Daniel Carver, a scene in which Capt. Janks goes on a date with John DeBella's wife (a situation Howard had predicted during his feud with DeBella in Philadelphia), the "Gross Video Contest" winners, Boy-Gary dressed as an ape and eating his baby doody, the classic "Tribute to Vagina," and a segment where viewers can participate in a real, live, lesbian dial-a-date. Many consider this to be Howard's best video of all. Exact sales figures were never released, but estimates suggest that *Butt Bongo Fiesta* sold about 300,000 copies, with virtually no advertising beyond Howard promoting it on his show.
