Synopsis
Xate is an ordinary woman from Midyat, raising eight children. The only distinction in her life is her husband's position as Mayor of Midyat. This changes when an extraordinary day alters the course of her life and that of the town. Suddenly, the illiterate and uneducated Xate becomes the new Mayor of Midyat. She approaches her mayoral duties much like she does her household responsibilities, and the childish rivalries among her children in municipal matters lead to humorous situations that amuse the people of Midyat.
