A college student desperate to win his estranged father's approval and a classic Porsche must make it from Los Angeles to New York for Christmas, but when he's stranded in the desert in a Santa suit, he races against time while his girlfriend unwittingly accepts a ride from another "Jake.

Synopsis
Estranged from his father, college student Jake is lured back to New York for Christmas with the promise of receiving a classic Porsche as a gift. When the bullying football team abandons him in the desert dressed in a Santa suit, Jake is left without identification or money to help him make the journey home. Meanwhile, his girlfriend, Allie, is unaware of his whereabouts and accepts a cross-country ride from someone named Jake.
