Synopsis
Set during the Crusades, the story of *Lombardi* begins with the rivalry between two brothers, Arvino and Pagano, who both seek the love of Viclinda. In a misguided attempt to eliminate Arvino and abduct Viclinda, Pagano mistakenly kills their father instead and is forced into exile in the Holy Land. This act sets off a complex and harrowing chain of events that eventually leads to the brothers' reconciliation, followed by the death of one.
