The film offers a portrayal of the Wrangelkiez neighborhood in Berlin, focusing on the personal life stories of its residents. One woman arrived in the area a decade ago to work at Berlin’s still unfinished Brandenburg Airport, while another man recalls his childhood on a tobacco farm in Kentucky. A third individual reflects on a particularly memorable day in an otherwise routine work environment. These personal narratives are interwoven with the story of Elpi, a Greek woman awaiting the long overdue visit of an important old friend. The result is a film that captures the lives and perspectives of some of Wrangelkiez’s most prominent residents, while also reflecting on the sense of loss that comes with change and the passage of time for both people and places.
